One of St. Petersburg most majestic churches, the Cathedral of Our Lady of Kazan (Kazan Cathedral) was commissioned by Paul I and took over a decade to build (1800-1811) under the Emperor Alexander I. The annual show of contemporary work by teachers-artists of the Moscow State Academy Art Lyceum will be opened at the Lyceum’s exhibition halls, 8 Krymsky Val, on April 4, 2010. The works in the exhibition will include oils, graphic art and sculpture.

Vladimir Buinachev: Path of Cognition

The Moscow Museum of Modern Art presents a Path of Cognition solo exhibition of work by a renowned sculptor Vladimir Buinachev. It is not the first collaboration between the Museum and Vladimir Buinachev: three years ago, in August 2005 on show in the Museum was Buinachev’s Tragedy of a Sculptor installation inspired by wooden sculptures by Dmitri Tsaplin, a forgotten craftsman of the Soviet time. In Krasnoyarsk Are Exhibited Works by Alumni of Creative Workshops of the Russian Academy of Arts

On April 11, 2008 the Russian Academy of Arts in exhibition halls of its Regional Department in Krasnoyarsk presents a show of works by graduates of the Academy Creative Workshops. The exhibits include over 200 paintings, sculptures and graphic works. Among them are canvases by Michael Filatov, Vitali Gudwill, Helen Isaikina, Vladimir Khomyak who perfected their skills under People’s Artist of Russia, Full Member of the Russian Academy of Arts Anatoli Levitin.
