Oscar Kacharov (1924-2007). Painting: Exhibition at the Russian Academy of Arts

Facets of Creativity: Solo Show of the Honored Artist of Russia Maria Fedorova at the Russian Academy of Arts
On display at the Russian Academy of Arts, 21 Prechistenka street are almost 50 graphic works and collages – colorful compositions on themes of Russian folklore, sketches for costumes by the Honored Artist of Russia Maria Fedorova. The recognized master of a theater costume, she has designed costumes for many concert programs of the Moscow Musical Folklore Theater “The Russian Song” headed by Nadezhda Babkina, whose soloists will take part in the opening of the exhibition.

Opening of the Solo Exhibition of Mikhail Kurilko-Ryumin
On January 24, 2012 in the New Manezh Exhibition Hall (3 Georgievsky Lane, Moscow) there was an opening of a solo exhibition of the eminent theater designer, People’s Artist of Russia, Vice-President of the Russian Academy of Arts Mikhail Kurilko-Ryumin devoted to the 50th anniversary of his teaching activity at V. Surikov Moscow State Academy Art Institute. The opening ceremony was attended by the President of the Russian Academy of Arts Zurab Tsereteli who presented the artist with the Academy’s high award – the Order of Peter the Great.

The Presidium of the Russian Academy of Arts Discussed the First Semester Results of Students’ Work in V. Surikov Moscow State Academy Art Institute
On January 24, 2012 the President of the Russian Academy of Arts Zurab Tsereteli and members of the Presidium of the Russian Academy of Arts visited V. Surikov Moscow State Academy Art Institute. The Rector of V. Surikov Art Institute Anatoly Lyubavin and heads of its workshops showed the results of their students’ work in the first semester of 2011-2012 academic year. The joint discussion of the students’ works was aimed at the improvement of teaching programs.
